It is evening. Kayleigh is sitting cross-legged on the edge of my sofa. She is watching my television. Her eyes are narrow slits. She is catlike. Kayleigh scoops salsa with nacho chips. I look up from the book that I am not really reading and I watch as a glob of tomato evades her fleshy lips. It explodes, fat and satisfied, onto the cream upholstery. To me, this happens in slow-motion.

As everyone knows, the French - God save them - have a tag for any “fascinatingly ugly” woman, and though no similar designation exists in our quainter English tongue, some comparable label might almost have been coined for the lady you are about to meet.

 

2012 themes up and Artist in Residence wanted!

After much head-scratching, childish suggestions and emailing to and fro, Liars' League has decided on our new themes for 2012 - check them out here!

Also, Liars' League is looking for an Artist in Residence to design a piece of artwork to accompany each month's event - this will be featured on our website, Facebook event, and in our mailouts to over 800 subscribers, as well as on an event poster on the night.

It can be graphic art involving the two words of the theme (e.g. Give & Take) or it can be a picture representing your take on the theme (let's say, a pile of violated Christmas presents  for Give & Take ...) - anything so long as it's good!

There's no pay, only glory - but we'll let you into our shows for free and buy your drinks, as well as proudly displaying your work on our site and at the venue on the night of the event.
