Actors need to be:
1. Essential: London-based (or willing to travel) and confident at prose reading, with good vocal projection
2. Desirable: Good at doing accents other than their own
3. Essential: Willing to work for love (and free drinks)
4. Essential: Available to rehearse on the Sunday evening preceding the Tuesday on which they are selected to perform. Rehearsals are in South London (New Cross) and performances in Central London, at the Phoenix pub (see Where do we meet and when? page)
Auditions are ad hoc (roughly every few months): if you're interested in working with us, send your CV to [email protected] and we will send you details of our next audition date.
IMPORTANT: Accepting a place in the Liars' League company and performing for us implies permission to upload a video and audio recording of your reading on YouTube and Jellycast (for our podcast) as well as this site, so that everyone can enjoy your performance.
PLEASE NOTE: Our books are temporarily closed to female actors. We're sorry ladies - we just have too many talented actresses in the company already, and not enough suitable stories to go around. We hope this situation will change as and when we get more female-narrated submissions, but in the mean time we are very interested in auditioning MALE ACTORS OF ANY AGE, especially those with accent skills.
